Terry Wayne Rogers, 24, of 2531 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Bath Community Hospital.
He was born October 22, 1991 in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Terry William Tarkenton and Imalee Callahan Rogers.
He enjoyed playing video games on the computer. He was a loving son and brother. He was a very friendly natured person who didn’t know a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Imalee Rogers of Hot Springs; a brother, James “Jimmy” McArthur Rogers, Jr. of Hot Springs; a half-sister, Holly Sue Tarkenton of Moseley, Virginia; his girlfriend, Christain Staten of Hot Springs; two aunts, Louise Ailstock of Moseley and Elizabeth Ailstock of Hot Springs; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Barbara Lynn Rogers.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, March 21, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 181 Genito Road, Moseley, Virginia with Reverend Susan Prather officiating. Interement will be in the Mount Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Rogers, William S. Ailstock, Steven Ailstock, Eddie Ailstock, Arthur Ailstock, Ricky Cook. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

I seen you grow up some in your life and you played and was friends with my kids here and I was friends with you all it is hard to believe you are gone here but I no you are in a better place now looking down on your mom and brother and everyone else you loved here rip terry god needed you in heaven to help him now you might be gone from this world now but your never be forgotten until we meet again
