Virginia A. Wolfe, 98, of Midlothian, Virginia, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Laurels of Willow Creek in Midlothian, Virginia.

She was born June 17, 1916, in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Tilton Robertson & Rachel Jane Carpenter Robertson Ryder. She was married to the late Ralph Franklin Wolfe who preceded her in death on May 13, 1986.

Mrs. Wolfe was a housewife & homemaker and previously employed with the Homestead Resort. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of the Chimney Run Church of the Brethren in Warm Springs, Virginia and attended the Banton Street Pentecostal Holiness Church & The Calvary Baptist Church both in Richmond, Virginia. She loved a celebration and being “Queen for a Day”.

She is survived by three children, Charlotte McDonald & husband John of Richmond, Harold Wolfe of Warm Springs, and Ida Rhea & husband John of Richmond; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 37 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jane Bogan & Lottie Rosacrance; and a step-sister, Etta Emlio.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carl T. Wolfe; a brother, Charles Robertson; 3 sisters, Kate Kelly, Ruby Robertson and Rosie Wolfe.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Chimney Run Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Shorty Wolfe officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
