Wana Gray Tidd

Wana Gray Tidd, 81, of 937 Dunns Gap Road, Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs.
She was born April 27, 1931 in Bacova, Virginia, the daughter of the late Louie James Robertson and Phyllis Masters Robertson. She was married to George E. “Chuck” Tidd, Sr. her husband of 49 years, who preceded her in death on February 3, 2003.
Mrs. Tidd was employed with Bacova Guild as a manufacturer. She later worked as a caregiver for her own mother. She enjoyed playing bingo; fishing and taking picnics with her family. She loved the outdoors and camping.
She is survived by her son, George E. Tidd, Jr. & wife Carrie of Hot Springs, a daughter, Jill Plecker & husband Robert of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, Brandy N., Britney N. & Justin Paul “J.P.” Tidd all of Hot Springs, Adam W. Cory E. Tanner C. & Trevor C. Plecker all of Hot Springs; two great grandchildren, Eli Cole Tidd & Masi Lorelei Tidd both of Hot Springs; three brothers, James Ray “Buck” Robertson of Bacova, Virginia, Wallace Robertson & wife Hilda of Hot Springs and Willis Robertson & wife Charlotte of Richmond, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vada Robertson.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3rd at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Lee Altizer officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam, Cory, Tanner & Trevor Plecker, J.P. Tidd, Herb Godschalk, George Lindsay and Scott Robertson. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Jill and Robert Plecker on Dunns Gap Road in Hot Springs.
