  3. We are very saddened to hear that my Dad’s schoolmate and friend for years has passed away. Asa Thomas, lived near Weldon in his youth and were together a lot, we have a great photo of my Dad and Weldon playing the mandolin and guitar. After my Dad’s passing in 2007 we tried twice to send it, but always missed him or he had just left. All of us are thinking about you at this a great time of grief. My Dad cared for Weldon very much and as I grew up my brother and I heard all sorts of stories about him and the adventures they went on. I suppose now they are catching up again, practicing and playing for a bigger crowd in Heaven. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Agnes, Darrell, and Edward (Angie, Andrew, and Hannah) Thomas, all of Grottoes Virginia. Darrell is in Wisconsin. Bless you all and we pray all is going as well as it could at this time.

Bud was one of Bath County’s finest. Always friendly and ready to lend a willing hand to help others above himself. He will be dearly missed by all.
