Welland Joseph Law, 69, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his residence.
He was born August 6, 1949 in Cologne, Germany, the son of the late Joseph Law and Helen Glaushauser Law.
Mr. Law was a pastry chef for the Homestead Resort with 48 years of service.
He was a loving husband, father & grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and could always be found participating in any of their activities. He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He liked to travel and explore military ships & was a huge history buff.
Mr. Law is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roxanne Yvonne Stanley Law, whom he married on September 29, 1974; his daughter, Cathy Lowry & husband Jamie of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Colby, Cameron, Cooper Lowry all of Hot Springs; a sister, Terry Alfred & husband Tommy of Callaghan, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Lee Altizer officiating.

Loving thoughts are with Welland’s wife and family and Welland’s sister and family, and other close relatives, friends, and neighbors. We are cousins on the Law side of the family. We were close in our youth, but have not seen each other for many years. I live in Florida, so am unable to be there, but I share your joy, and your sorrow over the home-going of this kind, quiet man.
