William Edward Lester, 87, of Reisterstown, Maryland died Monday, May 09, 2016 at Homestead of Sykesville, Maryland.

He was born December 6, 1928 in Hot Springs, the son of the late Henry Hoover Lester and Patty Mines Lester.

He was an insulator in the construction industry.

William is survived by his daughters Robin Lynn Barnhart of Reisterstown, Sandra McGee of Hurlock, Debbie Newhouse of Arnold, Maryellen Dodson of Deale, Pam Kirstien of Annapolis and Maryanne of Prince George County; sons Edward Lester of Shady Side, Skip Sartain of West River, Billy Lester of Edgewater, Johnny Lester of Prince George County, and Henry Lester of Glen Burnie, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lee Lester and son James Lester.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 12, 2016 at Christ Anglican Church at Union Chapel with Pastor Bobbie Jo Welch officiating. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
