William Leon Dobson, 45, of Roanoke, Virginia, formerly of Hot Springs, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence.
He was born October 21, 1971 in Hot Springs, the son of the late Raymond Leon Dobson and Betty Jean Cardwell.
He worked in both the landscaping and restaurant service fields. He was a loving father, brother and son. He enjoyed karaoke and playing pool. His greatest joy in life were his children and spending time with them.
He is survived by his children, Mariah, Andrew, Darrian, Dae, Dante, Dolce, Deonna and Dyelon; three grandchildren, Camdyn, Canaan, and Caleb; a brother, James Dobson of Upstate, New York; a sister, Ravelle Dobson of Baltimore, Maryland; and numerous aunts, cousins and loved ones.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pinehurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be His cousins.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.

I’m so sorry to hear of my friends passing he was my best male friend years ago we had so much fun he made me laugh so much we could drive to the beach at 2am and just have fun his sense of humor was like no other he loved his kids more than anything darrian was his princess but no kid pip had was treated any different my husband and I miss you a lot buddy I love u miss you and wish I had closure by knowing what happened your my age I don’t get it but god called you home I can’t question his plan rip my friend I will see you again
