Nancy Lee Hodge, 98, of Rosie’s Hunt Camp, Warm Springs, Virginia died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs, Virginia.
She was born September 5, 1918 in Kermit, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Gid Messer and Martha Ann Block (Messer).
Mrs. Hodge retired from Bath Community Hospital where she worked as a cook .
She was married to the late William Arnold Hodge who preceded her in death in 1973.
She is survived by a son, James William Hodge of Rexivell, Virginia and a granddaughter, Kristen Hodge of Gainsville, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lanora Bradley, Rosie Thompson & Lutisha Copley; and 2 brothers, Jessie Messer & Lonnie Messer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home. Interment will be in Jacob Cleek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
